We were called in to bring a fresh and like-new look to this client's home in Qualicum Beach, B.C. The cedar timbers were darkened from many applications of stain as well as from UV damage. The cedar shingles had darkened to an almost burnt colour.

To bring the wood back, we grind sanded the timbers along with finish sanding with a high quality geared eccentric sander. The timbers were treated with a preservative before applying two coats of Sansin SDF cedar colour stain and a top coat of their ENS clear base.

The shingles were first stripped with an eco-friendly finish remover, sanded, then brightened. We finished the shingles identically to the timbers with the same Sansin products and process.

The owner remarks how over the top happy they were with the results.
